Dom wanted to eat in a Vietnamese restaurant in the Village for her birthday; it was bring your own wine. Just from outside, it looked cute and comfortable as I joined her and her friend Mi who were seating next to the door on the right side. I was charmed by the waiter, an old man with a cute accent and very nice, probably the owner.

I was the only who ordered an appetizer, imperial rolls. They were hard inside, but not because it was fried and it tasted weird, I regretted ordering it.

Mi had the seafood crispy noodles that tasted very good. The noodles weren’t too hard since the sauce melted it. I’ve had some that were still hard and tasted awfully bad.

Dom had the vegetable crispy noodles that she loved. She was happy with the big amount of vegetables in her plate and no she didn’t finish her plate.

I wanted something new and picked the vermicelli rice noodles with chicken. The waiter warned me that it was normal if my noodles were all sticky, they would untangle due to the heat because people have complained that it wasn’t well cooked, it’s a Vietnamese specialty. I told him that it was fine and I’m sure it’d taste good. I wasn’t disappointed at all; it was delicious but yet different. The chicken was nicely grilled and I had a lot of vegetables! Quite surprising as I’ve been to other Vietnamese restaurants and hadn’t seen that much vegetables on my plates.

We all had fried banana, perfect little dessert to finish the night. We were all full at the end, but Mi had some tea which took a while to arrive and wasn’t hot enough to her taste.

All the meals were served hot and nicely decorated with lots of vegetables. It gets a 7.5/10 for the amazing food and the nice waiter, the appetizer was a failure and it took more than 15 minutes for Mi to get her tea. A meal with an appetizer, entrée and dessert roughly cost 20 to 25 dollars including tips. It’s a very cute and cozy place, perfect for a date or a hangout with friends. The dim light created a sweet and calm the atmosphere.
